During October, we did our science inquiry on pumpkins. We counted how many pumpkins we saw when we went on our daily walks. We noticed that as we got closer to Halloween, more and more people were displaying pumpkins outside their homes. Thus, a pumpkin was bought for the classroom for further inquiry.
We carved it into a Jackolantern and named him Jacko. We got the chance to see what it looked like from the inside. We also got the chance to feel the goop and the seeds that were carved out and stored in a ziploc bag.
We made observations about Jacko.
We estimated its height with snap cubes. And then checked to see what the difference was.
We did tons of artwork too!
